1 While I agree whole-heartedly with Wallace, and disagree just as whole-heartedly with Ehrman, I do take issue with Wallace's conclusion. He has already distinguished between inspiration and inerrancy, and I can see where he is coming from there. But to conclude that inspiration is not a central doctrine of the Bible is a mistake. How can we know that Biblical truth is from God if the Bible is not wholly inspired? (I hope I have not misunderstood or misrepresented Wallace here.)
