Attributes Which Describe God's Powerful Nature

Trait Symbol Scripture Meaning
INFINITE The Universe is unable to contain God.  1 Kings 8:27 God has no Limits or Boundaries.



IMMUTABLE


Yahweh is changeless.  Malachi 3:6  Elohim never vacillates as humans do. Numbers 23:19 God never Changes.



ETERNAL



God existed before anything was created.  He is God from eternity past to eternity future. Psalm 90:2 God has no Beginning or End.



OMNISCIENT



Yahweh knows everything before it happens.  Psalm 139:4.  He knows all things, whether actual or hypothetical. 2 Kings 13:19. God Knows Everything.
OMNIPRESENT God exists in the heights of heaven and in the depths of Sheol, the place of the dead.  Psalm 139:8 God is Everywhere.


OMNIPOTENT





God's power is so great He sovereignly creates each individual en utero. Psalm 139:13

God is so powerful He was able to create the entire universe in a mere six days in the recent past. Genesis 1:1
God is All-Powerful.
SOVEREIGN God so completely controls human events that, in the most savage crime in history, God accomplished His objectives! Acts 4:27-28 God is the Supreme Ruler.

Attributes Which Describe God's Moral Nature




HOLY



God is completely holy and completely without any sin. 1 John 1:5 God is All Good and is Absent Any Evil.



JUST



Man continually assesses by mere outward appearances, but God is able to evaluate by what one is like on the inside 1 Samuel 16:7b God is Fair in His Dealings with Man.
LOVE God loves all people in the world so intensely that He sacrificed His Son so that we humans might escape death and live eternally.  John 3:16 God seeks the Highest Good for Man.
TRUE All men lie at some point, but God never has and never will.  Romans 3:4a

It is impossible for God to deceive.  Titus 1:2
God is Consistent with Reality and is Never Self-Contradictory.
