A Politically Incorrect Glossary of
Political Correctness

I have lived in America nearly three quarters of a century. Never before have I seen the violence, the discord, and the animosity that I am seeing today. I suppose that if I had lived in the days of the Civil War, I would have something with which to compare the Great Divide in which we are living today.

But somehow this is different. Everyone on both sides of the slavery issue in the 1860's loved America. They just had radically different views of how to express their way of life, and voiced diametrically opposed opinions on the legitimate powers of the government to enforce its version.Today, those on the side of the resistance hate America. They see it as irredeemably flawed from the very beginning of its foundation. They believe they have been hopelessly marginalized. They are victims of the existing culture. They see people entrenched in the present culture as people of privilege, people whose power structure must be overthrown. The Divide is so severe, they believe that the only solution is to overthrow the culture and transform it into a radically different America.
As a Christian Paul was not under the Law of Moses, but he was under the Law of Christ (cf. Gal. 6:2). The law of God for Jews, before the Cross, was the Law of Moses, but His law for Christians, in the present age, is the Law of Christ. The Law of Christ is the code of responsibilities that Christ and His apostles taught, which the New Testament contains. Some of the same commands are in the Mosaic Law, although the codes—the Mosaic Law and the Law of Christ—are not the same
This article seeks to define some of the terms being used. I will define them, not necessarily how the resistance would choose to be defined, but defined in accordance with what I see what is happening to my country.

Definitions are necessarily broad. They cannot capture what every participant believes. Some well-meaning, but unsuspecting citizens support causes that have a far deeper and more sinister motivation than they would dream of. Unfortunately they become useful idiots. The Glossary Entries below are alphabetized.

Able-Bodied.

Anarchy. A tool used by Cultural Marxists to cow resisters and change the culture, ultimately hoping to change the government of America. Their tactics include throwing bricks through windows, looting businesses, setting businesses on fire, burning police cars, commandeering police stations. It is transparent that if you participate in these activities you are not seeking racial reconciliation. You are seeking a race war. Democratic politicians term these tactics as "peaceful protesting." Note carefully. It is not true that every protester is an anarchist. It is true that anarchists join protests time and again. The anarchists are carefully organized. They use cell phones to communicate with one another as to the next target. Someone is carefully organizing anarchist activities across the country, and someone is funding them. I could opine guesses, but I have seen nothing authenticating my guesses. These events are not spontaneous. And often, it appears, they come from out-of-state. For example I heard a report, undocumentable, that in Kenosha, Wisconsin, people discovered a van from Pittsburgh loaded with anarchist paraphernalia. It is transparent that some from among the Black Lives Matter and Antifa contingents participate in the anarchy.

Biblical Justice

Biblical Reconciliation. The view that only God, through Jesus Christ, can achieve a real reconciliation between people of different races. Christians believe that each of us have fatally offended God. What we have earned through our offense is Spiritual Death, Physical Death, and Second Death. Through faith in Jesus Christ, who died to pay for the offenses of every person, we can obtain eternal forgiveness for our sins and receive eternal life. We as Christians can achieve real, but not complete reconciliation between races in this life. But complete reconciliation awaits the next life. It is exceedingly moving to hear the words of the 24 elders and four living creatures up in heaven as they sang a new song, "Worthy are you to take the book and to break its seals; for you were slain, and you purchased for God with Your blood men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God; and they will reign upon the earth" (Rev. 5:9-10). Later on we read of Tribulation Saints who were martyred during the Great Tribulation. They appear in heaven, and John saw and heard them. Here is his description (Rev. 7:9-10):

After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could count, from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palm branches were in their hands; and they cry out with a loud voice, saying,

"Salvation to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!"

This is Biblical Reconciliation – Complete Reconciliation at its finest! For an excellent video on Racial Reconciliation from a Biblical point of view, see Voddie Baucham: Racial Reconciliation, based on Ephesians 2:11-22.

BIPOC: A Black, Indigenous, & People of Color Movement

Black Lives Matter. A movement that proclaims as its goals "to end State-sanctioned violence, liberate Black people, and end white supremacy forever." Its mission is "to eradicate white supremacy and build local power to intervene in violence inflicted on Black communities by the state and vigilantes." "We affirm the lives of Black queer and trans folks, disabled folks, undocumented folks, folks with records, women, and all Black lives along the gender spectrum." "We are working for a world where Black lives are no longer systematically targeted for demise." These are all verbatim quotations from the website of BlackLivesMatter.

In response, and these are the words of the author of this Glossary, it is accurate to say that Black Lives Matter is an organization which believes that America is a country of White Supremacists whose goal is to systematically target the deaths of Black people. That belief is simply untrue.

It is indeed tragic to consider the number of black people who have been killed in run-ins with the police. For example, in 2019 235 Black people were killed by police. That is sad, indeed. But it is even more tragic to consider how many Black people are killed by Black people. For example, according to FBI statistics in 2013, 2,491 Black or African American victims were murdered. Of those, 189 were killed by White people, while 2,245 were killed by Black or African American people. Evidently, those Black Lives are inconsequential to BLM, because they do not fit the BLM narrative that it is White people who are systematically working for the demise of Black people.

Moreover, BLM is silent on another war against the Black community. It is the tragic number of abortions of Black babies that have been perpetrated. Walt Blackman is a member of the Arizona House of Representatives representing District 6. He wrote an article entitled Abortion: The overlooked tragedy for black Americans. Here are some of his startling conclusions:

Abortion impacts African Americans at a higher rate than any other population group. In 2011, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released an Abortion Surveillance Report. According to that report, black women make up 14 percent of the childbearing population. Yet, 36 percent of all abortions were obtained by black women. At a ratio of 474 abortions per 1,000 live births, black women have the highest ratio of any group in the country. When you use those percentages, it indicates that of the over 44 million abortions since the 1973 Roe vs Wade Supreme Court ruling, 19 million black babies were aborted. African Americans are just under 13 percent of United States population.

The impacts on our black communities are hard to fathom. According to the Guttmacher Institute, which generally supports abortion, in 2011 360,000 black babies were aborted. CDC statistics for 2011 show that 287,072 black deaths occurred from all other causes excluding abortion. By these numbers, abortion is the leading cause of death among blacks.

Where is the outrage from BLM? The tragic conclusion one must draw is that, to BLM, not all Black Lives Matter. The only Black Lives that matter are those killed by policemen, and, perhaps especially, by White policemen. It is clear to me that BLM is part and parcel of the Cultural Marxism that seeks to overthrow America as it was originally founded, including its Judaeo-Christian, moral, and legal culture. See the article, How should Christians view the Black Lives Matter movement?

Censorship and "Liberating Tolerance"

Christian Nationalism. "A term liberals have defined and wielded in order to marginalize conservative Christians who are pro-life, support traditional marriage and gender roles — and love America" (Kevin McCullough, "Lighthouse Faith" podcast, May 7, 2023).
"Now you see that this fight against Christian nationalism is really a battle against conservative religious views on abortion, gender and parents pushing back against public schools who indoctrinate their children about secular views on what it means to be human" (Fox News, May 28, 2023, "'Christian nationalism' obsession by some on the left aims to marginalize pro-life Christians: Radio host" – article by Lauren Green).

Critical Theory. A social philosophy that endeavors to critique and assess society and culture "to reveal and challenge (existing) power structures." It has origins in sociology and literary criticism. "It argues that social problems are influenced and created more by societal structures and cultural assumptions than by individual and psychological factors." The term "critical" identifies the viewpoint that critical theory seeks "to liberate human beings from the circumstances that enslave them." Critical Race Theory adopted this viewpoint to criticize and seek to replace the foundations of American society and culture which, in its view, have been evil and oppressive from their very inception. I give credit for much of the substance of this entry to Wikipedia's article, "Critical theory."

Critical Race Theory. This glossary entry is derived, almost in its entirety, from Gotquestions.org.

Critical race theory is a modern approach to social change, developed from the broader critical theory, which developed out of Marxism. Critical race theory (CRT) approaches issues such as justice, racism, and inequality, with a specific intent of reforming or reshaping society. In practice, this is applied almost exclusively to the United States. Critical race theory is grounded in several key assumptions. Among these are the following:

• American government, law, culture, and society are inherently and inescapably racist.
• Everyone, even those without racist views, perpetuates racism by supporting those structures.
• The personal perception of the oppressed—their “narrative”—outweighs the actions or intents of others.
• Oppressed groups will never overcome disadvantages until the racist structures are replaced.
• Oppressor race or class groups never change out of altruism; they only change for self-benefit.
• Application of laws and fundamental rights should be different based on the race or class group of the individual(s) involved.

In short, critical race theory presupposes that everything about American society is thoroughly racist, and minority groups will never be equal until American society is entirely reformed. This position is extremely controversial, even in secular circles. Critical race theory is often posed as a solution to white supremacy or white nationalism. Yet, in practice, it essentially does nothing other than inverting the oppressed and oppressor groups.

Critical Race Theory finds its logical expression in Cultural Marxism. See the entire article in GotQuestions, entitled, "What is the critical race theory?"

Cultural Marxism. The belief that, before Economic Marxism can prevail, the present culture prevailing in America must be overthrown. Cultural Marxism (CM) is rooted in identity politics, white privilege, and Critical Race Theory. Americans possessing a "privileged" status have power. They constitute the hegemony. Those who do not have "privilege" are not em-powered. Therefore the un-empowered must overthrow the hegemony, the present culture, and gain the power themselves. Those who are privileged, and who thus hold power in America and must be overthrown are White; Male; Heterosexual; Chaste; Native born-in-America; Able-bodied; Cisgendered; Patriarchal; Nuclear Family-oriented; Patriotic; Christian. The more of these privileges you have, the more shameful you are. So, CM is doing its best to overturn this hegemony. A good video on Cultural Marxism is by Voddie Baucham. It is entitled, "Cultural Marxism." See also the article by Robert Smith, Cultural Marxism: Imaginary Conspiracy or Revolutionary Reality? See also What is Cultural Marxism?

Defund Police. The belief that police are inherently corrupt and brutal, deliberately preying upon and trying to kill black people who are apprehended. There are, by definition, no good police. This thought resumes and continues the stance of the 1960's and 70's when police were characterized as being "pigs." Police departments across America ought to be significantly defunded, and a more humane law-facilitation mechanism ought to be put into place. For example, the Biden-Sanders Unity Task Force Recommendations (p. 57) provide for the following:

Federal funding to create a civilian corps of unarmed first responders such as social workers, EMTs, and trained mental health professionals, who can handle nonviolent emergencies including order maintenance violations, mental health emergencies, and low-level conflicts outside the criminal justice system, freeing police officers to concentrate on the most serious crimes.

Hegemony. "The social, cultural, ideological, or economic influence exerted by a dominant group." Also, "preponderant influence or authority over others: domination" (Merriam-Webster). The word "hegemony" is uttered with a snarl of disdain. Cultural Marxists seek to overthrow the existing hegemony in America and replace it with their own value system, which would amount to a new hegemony, wouldn't it?

Useful Idiots

White Guilt. The belief by people of color that the white community has a debt it owes to the black community that alway keeps mounting upward and can never be repaid. White privilege symbolizes that debt. Reparations are an attempt to elicit a payment from white people. There is a presumption by some in the CM community that white people are inherently white supremacist and are guilty because of the color of their skin.

White Flight

White Guilt.

White People. Privileged people in America.

White Privilege

White Supremacy. The belief that America today is an anti-Black, white supremacist society.

Woke: A term increasingly used to describe social awareness from a left-leaning perspective. It became more widespread beginning in 2014 as part of the Black Lives Matter movement. Some of the viewpoints of "woke" people: A commitment to Identity Politics, a political philosophy catering to units of society based on their gender, race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation. By definition Identity Politics divides America, pitting one group against another; An assumption of the truth
(without double-blind experiments) that any change in the weather, whether warmer or colder, whether wetter or drier, is caused by humans and their use of carbon-based forms of energy; An assumption of the racist, anti-black nature of the founding and forms of the United States – the term is "systemic racism;" An assumption of the essential evil of police departments across America – "Defund the Police!!!"; An assumption of the inherent vice of capitalism and the inherent virtue of Marxism and Socialism; A commitment to the evil of Donald Trump and his followers and to the contrasting virtue of the Democratic party, their candidates, their news media, their academia, their Hollywood performers, and anything for which they stand; An (inherently racist) assumption of the evil of white people, especially white males – terms are "white guilt," "white supremacy," "white fragility;" An a priori presumption that black people can never be racist – only white people can be; An insistence on the virtue of all manner of deviations from the standard of one man and one woman for life norm found in Christianity and Judaism – the celebration of LGBTQIA; A presumed Tolerance that actually turns out to be a shouting, in-your-face, censoring of any and all who disagree with their norms of virtue and political expediency; A willingness to stretch and tailor the truth to support what they believe because their motives are so pure and their ends so justifiable; A hypocritical willingness to justify and almost applaud violence on the left (note the mayhem, arson, and theft planned and executed in major cities across America in 2020), but prosecute with a vengeance the Capitol Building demonstration of January 6, 2021 – they call it an "Insurrection"; A commitment to the virtue of killing unborn babies and the evil of regulating the same; An almost irrational commitment to Environmentalism – King/Governor Newsome of California issued an executive order forbidding the manufacture of gasoline-powered cars in CA by 2035; yet days later the grid operator asked Californians not to charge their electric cars!!!!; An increasing commitment to reward financially companies and banks that share the "woke" views of the left on all manner of issues, and to penalize all who do not participate – the term is Environmental Social Governance (ESG); A commitment to make the United States subservient to the wishes of the Global Elite (think World Economic Forum, BlackRock "Sustainable" investment strategies, and the United Nations); An inevitable commitment to the veracity of the Big Bang and Evolution, along with a censoring and marginalizing of all seek to provide evidence to the contrary; A commitment to moral and ethical relativism – they are absolutely certain that there is no absolute truth!
